FUN Society Scholarship Drive
It is with excitement and some pride that we launch the 7th Annual FUN Society Scholarship Drive.
PRIDE because despite numerous set-backs and financial crises we have managed without fail to offer roughly one third of our camp spaces to at-risk and disadvantaged youth free of charge each year.
EXCITEMENT because this year we have expanded our camps to have a reach of more than 700 youth, and we are determined to continue our tradition of offering as many scholarship opportunities as we can.
The cost to sponsor a camper is $250, but any amount (even $5.00) adds up quickly and piece by piece makes these amazing opportunities available to the kids who need it the most. (Tax receipts issued for any contribution over $20)
Consider the Workplace challenge ... if everyone at your office chips in $20, how many kids can you send to camp this summer? The winning office team will receive a special certificate of recognition and a gift certificate towards making a Friday afternoon office party a bit more FUN! ;-)
How to sponsor a camper:
1. Send me an email to let me know how many campers you would like to send to camp, or how much you would like to contribute, and then put a cheque in the mail, payable to FUN Society, and sent to -#3-1441 Store St. Victoria, BC, V8W 3J6

What you will receive as a sponsor:
- thank you letter
- photo and bio of the camper you supported
- certificate of appreciation
- recognition in our annual report
- tax receipt (if over $20)
- a very large warm fuzzy feeling deep inside
Why this is important:
This program makes such a difference in the lives of the kids you support! It is a beautiful thing to see an eight-year old nervous scholarship recipient blossom over two years into a 10 year old FUN Champ, hosting a gala at the Robert Bateman gallery to save wolves... raising over $1300 for wolf conservation, getting herself on TV, hosting and educating more than 150 people, involving and winning over many community sponsors, giving two speeches, and so much more. FUN Society changed her life - but only thanks to the sponsors that make this program possible! We don't have the ability to offer these scholarships without your support!
